Summer is upon us which means lazy days. But if you are like me we don’t want our kids to get to lazy. This summer I am planning a summer reading program for home. Below is my plans and worksheets I am going to use in my daughters summer workbook.
Items needed:
Binder
Printed papers
Pencil pouch
Pencils or pens
I started by looking for the best book log tracker. I did a search on google and this is what I found. Unfortunately it was Pinterest with no link to original author. Hopefully I can find that link soon and give credit where credit is deserved.
Next I decided to make up few items of my own from other summer reading program printable. This is what I did.
I printed 20 sheets of the log and 1 sheet of the others to start. Hole punched them and began to set up the binder. Below is the final results.
Welcome to my blog. I am a stay at home mom that's believe in hands-on learning through crafts, activities, and play. Join me as we explore the world through the eyes of children.

Jellyfish Craft
Summers coming and to get my daughter, and myself, encouraged tonight we made Jellyfish. This is a simple craft but we had fun creating it
Items needed
White disposable bowl.
Markers, crayons. (I don't recommend colored pencils as they were hard to see)
Gift bag ribbon with the attached tape.
Googly eyes (optional)
String (optional)
Directions:
Step one: color your bowls. If you are adding googly eyes do this before coloring. Add eyes using glue dots. If not draw your eyes as you are coloring.
Step two:
If wanting to hang poke hole in the top and add string. Tie one end so the string cannot come back through. This step is optional.
Step three:
Peel covering off of the adhesive tape on ribbon and stick on bottom of the bowl.
That's it. Enjoy your jellyfish.
