DIY Bubble Fun

You can still have Bubble Fun even when you forget to buy bubbles from the store. How do you ask? By using a few ingredients from home.

DIY bubble solution

Ingredients
• Warm water
• Dish soap
• Vegetable oil
* Use 4 tablespoons of dish soap for each cup of water.

Directions
1.Take the warm and put it in a container that fits your wands you are planning to use.

2. Slowly mix in dish soap in water stirring gently. Keep stirring until dish soap is completely dissolved. Tip *You do not want foam to form so be careful when stirring.

3. Let the solution sit for a few minutes while you make your wands.

4. Once you are ready to play, add 5-6 drops of vegetable oil to your mix.

That's it! Have Fun!

Tip* The vegetable oil helps the bubbles last longer so if your bubbles are popping to way to quickly add a few more drops.

DIY wands
You can use many items as bubble wands such as hula hoops for giant bubbles to small bangle bracelets. Here is one more way that will be the kiddos making them their own.

Supplies needed:
• Pipe cleaners
• Beads
• Bubbles (From above)
• Small dish
How to make a bubble wand:
1. Place the two ends of a pipe cleaner together and twist the bottoms together, leaving the top in a circle shape.
2.Start placing beads onto the bottom two pipe cleaner ends and pushing them to the top. You can create any color pattern you would like.
3. Once you fill the wand with beads, fold the end of the pipe cleaner up to hold the beads in place.
4. Fill up a small dish with bubbles and dip the circle end of the wand into the bubbles. Blow on the wand to make bubbles.
Have Fun!

Marshmallow building

Today's activity came from a post in my Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/280632499526226/?ref=shar I picked up the items for 1.00 a piece. So the total cost of this activity is $2.00. My daughter played for hours. Definitely a keeper.

Items needed:
Toothpicks
Marshmallows (Bigger is better but can use small or both)

Give the kids the items and let them go to town creating shapes and structures. For even more fun give them pictures and let them try to recreate them.

Pet Rocks!

I thought today I would share with you all about a project I am currently working on. As many of you don't know I am a published author of children’s books. My current book takes my love of kids crafts and combines the two.
With a show of hands who here had a pet rock growing up? I did. I just wish this book was around to help me. Well, that's not true because then I wouldn't have the pleasure of writing it. Anyways my latest book that will be published later this year is called, ”The Complete Guide for Caring for your Pet Rock”.
This cute book reads like a how-to book for kids with pictures and fun activities for them to complete. They will also get their own birth certificate and after they finish the book they will have their Rock training certificate.
Do your kids have pet rocks? What a fun project this would make for you and your kids and their new special friend.
